Carnival Connect is a network for artists and producers in the West Midlands to promote work, share ideas and information and to recieve training and networking opportunities. It is also a source of information for anyone wanting more information about Carnival Arts.  The information on this site is from artists and producers across the West Midlands. Please add to wherever you can to continue to grow this valuable resource.

November saw the launch of our Featured section. If you are involved in Carnival or street arts, you too can bee featured on the site with your image on the front page, and an article about who you are and what you do in our news section.

Hand it over to us - Olympic openings and closings, could you do it better?

Since the Carnival Doctor took place, a meeting took place on the 28th of November to find out more about what is already planned in the region, and whether anyone wants to do something together.  Minutes from the meeting can be read on the forum and also in the News section of this site.

Regular feature on the forum is Carnival Doctor. It provides an opportunity to discuss and share ideas with an expert would be useful.

Carnival Doctor launched in May offering a live chat about Designing for Carnival, hosted by Trudy Rees-Marklew. Other sessions have included; Gary Jones, 'Making a living as a carnival artist', Robin Thomas, 'Organising a Carnival'.  The latest forum was held by Rachael Willis Griffin from the Arts Council on 'Funding'.
